My experience comes from a wide variety of disciplines. This helps me to identify quickly with my client's situation and help them reach their desired outcome. I started working as a Personal Success Coach in 1995 (in Encinitas, California). This was very early in the Coaching profession. I thought that I made up the term! Shortly, I found that there were others all over the country who were also working as coaches to help individuals achieve their best. I began networking and meeting with them to grow the profession, as well as help my clients.
Here are some of the highlights of my experience:

Master Practitioner: Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), the Science of Human Excellence in Learning. As a corporate trainer for Fortune 500 companies and business groups. Business: As the Software Systems Customer Service Manager for a Fortune 500 Company. And, later, as the co-founder of a "dot com" in 2000 / 2001.
Real Estate Investment: I was personally trained by Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad) to be a "CashFlow™ Coach". The program I was part of changed, however, I do apply the training. I currently sucessfully manage over $1,000,000 of real estate applying the principals learned with Mr. Kiyosaki. Public Speaking: Certified "Able Toastmaster" by Toastmasters International Community Leadership: President of Del Mar Kiwanis Club, 1997 - 98, Del Mar, California. Conflict Resolution: as a Senior Tai Chi Instructor for over 12 years. Click here if you care to view my full resume.

A Little History of Professional Coaching
In 1994, when I first started my work as a Full Time Personal Success Coach, I created something new. (I really thought that I made up the name.) Over the past ten years I have met a number of individuals who also consider themselves coaches. Each of these individuals comes from a different background with a different focus (from physical / athletic, to beauty, to business). These individuals also have widely varying degrees of experience.
Since there is no official credential required for someone to be a coach, professional groups have formed to provide a common ground. I was an active player in forming and promoting these organizations in San Diego County. In about 1999, I felt that these organizations were adding political layers and increasing fees -- in effect adding a layer of cost and red tape -- to what started out as a very straight-forward profession. I include the information below for any historical value.
I was a Charter Member of The International Coach Federation (ICF). The ICF was formed to provide an ongoing support network of training, professional support and an active referral network through the Internet. I served as the San Diego County "Chapter Host" from 1995 through 1999.
I was a Charter Member, and served as co-chairperson, of The San Diego Professional Coaches Alliance. We formed this group to provide a local referral network in support of the public and the professional coaches who made up its members. (We published a bound directory and a website.) This local (San Diego) group also served as a place for the ICF members to meet. At that time, most coaches in San Diego were members of both groups.
I was also a Charter Member of the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association. This group started in Orange County & Los Angeles. I was involved in helping it expand into San Diego.
Today I feel that these organizations have done a lot of good. I think that they have also helped a number of people flash a certificate or credential that implies a level of professionalism which may not actually be present. In the end, intelligent people (like you) will make choices based on their actual experience. The coaches who are helping their clients get positive results will have all the work they want. The others will fade away.
The best way is to simply give me a call (at 520 358-4761) or send me an right now, while you are thinking about it (Isn't that the beauty of the web, after all?) Find out for yourself just how I can be of assistance to you.
Coaching Methods:
By Telephone: Four Weekly calls of 30 or 60 minutes each per month. This method works best for most people's schedules since there is no commuting time.
